Flu and Covid Vaccine Clinic
We are pleased to announce that we are able to offer both the flu and covid vaccine to our eligible patients for the upcoming campaign.
Covid vaccines are available for patients who are over 75 or immunosuppressed. We will be running Saturday clinics for covid and flu on the following dates: October 4th and 18th with a possibility of one further catch-up clinic.
If you are eligible for a vaccine, you will receive an appointment in the post in the next few weeks. We encourage you to attend but if you do wish to cancel, please follow the instructions in the letter so we can use your appointment for another patient.
Groups eligible for a flu vaccine in Wales as follows:
• children aged two and three years on 31 August 2025
• school aged children from reception to year 11 (inclusive)
• people aged 6 months to 64 years in a clinical risk group:
Chronic respiratory disease i.e. COPD or asthma requiring
regular steroids
Chronic heart, kidney, or liver disease
Chronic neurological disease such as Parkinson's or motor
neurone disease,
Stroke
Learning Disability
Severe Mental Illness
Diabetes
Epilepsy
Immunosuppressed such as HIV or receiving cancer treatment,
Asplenia or dysfunction of the spleen,
BMI 40 plus
• people aged 65 years and older (age on 31 March 2026)
• all adult residents in Welsh prisons
• pregnant women
• carers of a person whose health or welfare may be at risk if the
carer falls ill
• frontline health and care workers
• people experiencing homelessness
• household contacts of the immunocompromised
