As a Partner-led practice, we are proud to have served our local community since 1965, building a long-standing reputation for trusted, patient-centred care. Today, the practice is led by Dr Emma Poyner and Partners, continuing that commitment with a modern, forward-thinking approach to general practice. At Pendre Surgery, we are committed to providing inclusive, non-discriminatory care and treating all patients with dignity and respect.
Pendre Surgery is operated as a partner-managed GP practice under a General Medical Services (GMS) contract with Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. The doctors practise together as a non-limited partnership, Dr E. Poyner & Partners. We are also a training practice, supporting GP Registrars (GPSTs), undergraduate medical students, and mentoring pharmacists and nurse practitioners.
We have a diverse and experienced clinical team, including both male and female GPs, supported by a highly skilled nursing team. Our clinicians are complemented by a robust and experienced administration and management team, who play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and effective running of the practice.
We are continually striving to improve how we deliver care, combining traditional values with modern systems to ensure we provide the best possible service to our patients.
GP Policy
For routine care, we aim—where possible—to offer you an appointment with your preferred or usual clinician, supporting continuity of care.For urgent or same-day requests, including those submitted via eConsult, patients are assigned to the most appropriate clinician based on clinical need. This ensures you are seen as quickly and safely as possible.
