Out of Hours – Urgent Care
During out-of-hours periods (evenings, weekends, and bank holidays), the practice is closed.
For urgent medical advice, please contact NHS 111 by dialling 111.
For life-threatening emergencies, please dial 999 immediately.
If you call the surgery during these times, a recorded message will provide you with this information.
Further details about the NHS 111 service can be found within this leaflet.
NHS 111
NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and bank holidays.
It provides fast access to advice and support for both physical and mental health concerns, helping you get the right care when you are unsure what to do.
You can access NHS 111 by:
- Calling 111 from your phone
- Visiting https://111.nhs.uk/
If needed, NHS 111 can arrange further care, including access to the GP out-of-hours service.
Dental and Eye Care (Optometry)
GPs are not trained or equipped to manage dental problems, so if you have symptoms such as toothache, swelling, or bleeding in the mouth, please contact your dentist directly.
If you do not have a regular dentist, you can access urgent dental advice and services via NHS 111.
For eye-related symptoms—such as pain, changes in vision, redness, discharge, or watering—please contact your optometrist (optician) in the first instance. Many optometrists can assess and manage eye conditions without the need to see a GP.
